MC Licence Requirements

To upgrade your licence you must have a Heavy Combination (HC) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Open or P Class for at least 12 months.
Pay the appropriate fee and pass the Knowledge Test with Service NSW or Queensland Transport.
For NSW only, you must have held an HR or HC Licence open licence.
For NSW Only, You will need a new medical record for this type of truck licence.

Complete the Test In Our Automatic Truck

Completing the training in an Automatic truck provides you with the time to concentrate on the specifics of driving a B Double Vehicle with two trailers with out worrying about the Road Ranger Gear Box. Specifically it allows extra time to concentrate on reversing the B Double.

Obtain mc Licence

If you have either a Condition A or Condition B Licence and would like an Unrestricted MC Licence, additional training is advised in our unrestricted Road Ranger HR truck until you are competent with Road Ranger Gearbox.

3 Types Of MC Licences

MC Condition A

A licence restricting you to drive an automatic vehicle (This will only be the case if you have a Heavy Rigid/Combination Condition A Licence.

MC Condition B

A licence allowing you to also drive synchromesh and automatic gearbox truck. This is where you hold a Heavy Rigid/Combination Condition B Licence.

MC Unrestricted

A licence allowing you to drive any gearbox type including Road Ranger Gearboxes. This is where you hold a Heavy Rigid/Combination Unrestricted Licence.
